Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation
- Base salary starting at $120,000+ (based on qualifications)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Operations Manager with an active Massachusetts license to help build and scale a growing residential and commercial HVAC business. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise and full operational ownership. You will lead daily operations, drive revenue and profitability, and develop a high-performing team in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage profit and loss, budgets, and operational performance
- Drive revenue growth, sales performance, and operational efficiency
- Oversee daily operations, dispatch, and technician workload optimization
- Build and manage vendor relationships for pricing and service quality
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and installations as needed
- Lead preventative maintenance programs for residential and commercial systems
- Ensure high customer satisfaction, including same-day issue resolution
- Coach, develop, and hold team members accountable to performance standards
- Create and maintain procedures, work instructions, and knowledge documentation
- Oversee job costing, project management, and safety compliance
Qualifications
- 10–15 years of HVAC experience; management, lead technician, or supervisory experience preferred
- Proven success managing P&L and exceeding revenue goals
- Strong background in job costing, operations, and team development
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office
- Strong customer-service and sales-oriented mindset
- Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with a clean driving record
Education and Certifications
- Active Massachusetts Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractor License (required)
- EPA 608 Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
Physical and Work Conditions
- Combination of office work and field visits
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, stand, walk, and drive in varying weather conditions
- Ability to travel throughout the Greater Worcester area
- Normal or corrected vision required
