We're seeking a strategic, hands-on Head of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts through an exciting product launch and beyond. This high-impact role blends creative vision with performance-driven execution and is ideal for someone passionate about all facets of direct-to-consumer marketing. You will strategize exactly what we do and when, and through what partnerships, you'll work closely with Product and Design to drive growth, owning the entire marketing funnel—from awareness to retention. As both a leader and doer, you'll craft and execute multi-channel campaigns, develop compelling B2C messaging, and analyze performance to continually optimize results.
We're looking for someone who has led a consumer product launch in the past and is eager to do it again by building and scaling a marketing team while staying deeply involved in campaign creation and execution. You don’t have to do it all, but you will know how to advocate for the budget, who to partner with, and how to balance company resources to make it all happen. You’re ready to bring all of your past experiences to this small scrappy company and be a critical part of changing mobility.

Dephy is a robotics design firm founded in 2016 with the primary mission of bringing humans Beyond Nature™ with performance-enhancing wearable robotics technologies. We utilize a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving.

How you will contribute:
- Results. Converting demos into dollars will be your ultimate goal. Use a masterful combination of data, experimentation, and customer insights to determine the right pathway to revenue growth for our exciting new technology.
- Bridge product strategy and market opportunity. Serve as a strategic partner to product management, ensuring that development efforts align with the go-to-market strategy and evolving customer needs.
- Engage with users and drive impact. You’ll craft and implement go-to-market strategies, partner with cross-functional teams, and shape the positioning of our products in a competitive landscape. You will run a grassroots campaign, attend trade shows, focus groups, live demos, and more. Your efforts will play a key role in driving customer adoption, deepening engagement, and fueling business growth.
- Own brand visibility and communications strategy. Develop and execute integrated public relations and media strategies that support business goals, including managing press outreach, creating content for both digital and print channels, and securing high-impact media placements. Lead website development and ongoing content optimization, ensuring alignment across web, social, and other digital platforms.
- Shape compelling product narratives. Collaborate cross-functionally or with agencies to develop customer-facing materials—ranging from messaging frameworks to promotional videos—that clearly communicate product brand and resonate with target audiences. Maintain brand in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape. Conduct regular competitive audits and stay informed about industry developments to inform communication strategies and ensure messaging stays relevant and differentiated.
- Approach challenges with a solutions-first mindset. Tackle complex marketing problems with creativity and persistence—setting clear goals, testing multiple strategies, and iterating quickly to find what works and drive meaningful results.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Be a good human - get along with the team, build strong working relationships, and execute on Dephy’s Values.
- 10 years of marketing experience with a strong background in product marketing, brand marketing product launch
- Experience in both early-stage (scrappy, experimental) and later-stage (scalable, strategic) environments
- Experience in B2C marketing, ideally with a physical product that incorporates software/ hardware
- Proven track record in designing and executing successful new product launches, including but not limited to strategic vision and management of customer relationship management (CRM), search engine optimization (SEO), public relations, email marketing, and digital advertising.
- Excellent communication skills—able to distill complex ideas into compelling narratives
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, hiring the right person at the right time in the right place
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, vendors, and industry experts to create content that falls outside your expertise.
- Assist with event planning, including working with vendors, event coordinators, and design teams. Travel required up to 25%.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience building high-impact user journeys and optimizing multi-channel funnels
- Have a network of freelancers, agencies, journalists, bloggers, influencers, and developers to call at the right time for the right play. Whether it’s Public Relations, communication, a website refresh, digital marketing, or influencer marketing,
- Proficiency in creating, editing, and promoting written, visual, and digital content.
- Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into simple, effective communications.
