Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Repair Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to troubleshoot and repair customer induction welding tools. The ideal candidate should have experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair induction welding tools.
  • Repair tools to fully functional units, including final testing and validation.
  • Maintain incoming and outgoing tools by practicing first in, first out.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving of tools.
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory levels.
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools.
  • Ability to use a soldering iron and voltmeter.
  • Good soldering skills in both through-hole and Surface Mount Technology (SMT).
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Good close vision and depth perception skills.
  • Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient with computers and MS Office applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Trade School certification, high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.

Work Environment

You will be working with the repair team that focuses on internal tool maintenance. The environment includes working with electronics, electrical, and mechanical components. The role requires the use of various hand tools, test equipment, and attention to detail in a collaborative team setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Agawam, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
