This position is a DIRECT HIRE ROLE from day one
Responsibilities:
- Shipping, receiving, storing and distributing materials, parts, supplies and equipment
- Unpacking and checking product received against the purchase orders or invoices
- Maintain records of received product
- Check product against shipping documents, determine packaging requirements, pack product for shipment
- Maintain and prepare and documents needed and files
- Working with specifications, certification documents, shipping lists, delivery by parts number list required to prepare air waybills and bills of landing
- Prepare parts and/or materials to ensure safe handling for shipment in compliance with relevant customer and/or company specifications.
- Input all relevant shipping information into the computer.
- Contact shipping companies, truckers and freight forwarders to arrange for pick-ups
- Receive materials and product in accordance with company standard operating procedures.
- Process age-sensitive and special storage items in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Operate various hand and power operated tools including, hand truck and hydraulic jack.
- Operate forklift and maintain operator training certifications.
Qualifications:
- At least three years previous shipping and receiving experience
- Experience with forklift, pallet jacks
- Experience with shipping documents
Hours are:
Monday through Friday – first shift
The pay is up to $24.00 an hour based on experience
