At WW Building Supply, we are excited to expand our exceptional family-owned and operated business by welcoming a dedicated Store Manager to our team! We are looking for someone who embraces new challenges with grace and a smile, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys collaborating with others. This role will focus on building strong associate and customer relations while promoting a positive culture aligned with the “WW Building way”. You will lead store huddles, model our cultural behaviors, and consistently utilize all available tools to manage performance effectively. It is also essential to maintain store conditions regarding appearance, security, safety at the highest standards, while being accountable for the proper control of company assets.

Shift:

8 hour shifts - 5 days per week

Day shift

Rotating Saturdays (with a day off during the week)
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00/year
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
-
Commitment to providing excellent, personalized, service to all internal and external customers, including employees, vendors, and shoppers.
-
Be readily available to staff and customers, ensuring efficient and friendly service, and support department staff through ongoing coaching and training.
Supervision:
-
Hire, train, evaluate staff, and manage scheduling.
-
Supervise the Retail and Yard staff departments and plan regular departmental meetings.
-
Oversee the stocking of all aisles and displays, ensuring items are well-maintained and faced.

Conduct staff performance evaluations and communicate any changes in store policies and procedures.
Merchandising:
-
Direct and assist in maintaining attractive, fully stocked retail sections and as well as planning retail promotions.

Hold and attend Retail Team meetings to strategize cross merchandising, advertising, and purchasing.

Visit other stores for price comparisons and merchandising ideas, and attend trade shows as needed. (Will involve rare travel to locations such as Orlando, FL or Chicago, IL)
Operations:

Provide daily constructive feedback and coaching to retail and yard staff.

Complete daily paperwork accurately and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Create, improve, and maintain training systems for all personnel, including safety and professional development.

Participate actively in quarterly and year-end inventory preparations.

Ensure smooth operations across all departments, managing returns, credits, inventory counts, and deliveries.

Lead the creation and execution of daily, weekly, or monthly staff plans and goals

Participate in Management meetings and communicate with ownership to provide updates and feedback on all aspects of the operation of the Wilmington Store
Skills and Knowledge:
-
Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
-
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
-
Outstanding organizational abilities and a willingness to learn various tasks and technical requirements.

Experience with, or ability to learn, Epicor POS systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace

Experience with, or ability to learn, lighter I.T. aspects integral to daily operations such as installing programs, setting up computers, replacing point of sale hardware, troubleshooting phone or computer issues.

Proven judgment in problem-solving, decision-making, and handling complaints.

Desire and ability to lead and manage employees across multiple departments.

Department Manager or equivalent experience is required; a college degree or equivalent is preferred.
