Location: Auburn, MA (100% Onsite)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm
Payrate: $23-$29/hour on W2
Duration: 08 months (Contract)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. This role is strategic and supports business users by ensuring correct documentation and managing supplier-related processes. The Purchasing Coordinator will work closely with legal teams, suppliers, and internal partners to oversee indirect spending activities, including safety supplies, packaging, inventory management, lead time tracking, price breaks, and demand plan variability.
Key Responsibilities:
Support supply planning and purchasing functions within the organization.
Manage supplier diversity programs and replenishment activities.
Collaborate with internal customers, particularly in medical industry sales and marketing.
Gather quotes, build spreadsheets, and identify purchasing trends.
Contribute to continuous process improvements through global harmonization.
Maintain and update procurement procedures and documentation.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience working with suppliers and internal partners (more experienced candidates will be considered).
Highly organized with strong multi-tasking capabilities.
Proven purchasing experience, vendor relationship management, and supplier onboarding.
Excellent communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to understand and communicate priorities effectively.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Deep SAP experience.
Tableau experience.
Experience writing procedures.
Four-year degree in business, economics, logistics, or supply chain (data nerd preferred).
Background in biomedical engineering, customer service or sales, material management in hospitals, or hospital experience is a plus.
Interview Process:
Initial 1:1 interview with Hiring Manager (HM).
Potential second interview.
Additional Information:
This is a collegial organization with very educated internal customers.
Current processes are mature but undergoing review for improvement.
