We are looking for an attentive Accounting Assistant in Manchester, New Hampshire. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a vital part in supporting financial operations, ensuring accuracy in day-to-day accounting tasks, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
Responsibilities:
• Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision.
• Assist in payroll preparation, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Maintain and update financial records, supporting monthly and annual reporting.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and manage spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and generate reports.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Support audits by preparing documentation and providing necessary information.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities.
• Contribute to the implementation of process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
• Respond to inquiries related to financial transactions, providing clear and effective communication.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Familiarity with payroll procedures and systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create formulas and analyze data.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and external stakeholders.
