Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Located in Springfield, MA, this contract position offers an opportunity for a licensed school clinician with experience in psychology, social work, or counseling to provide critical social, emotional, and behavioral support to high school students. Serving approximately 24 students in a high school setting, this role includes individual counseling sessions, small group interventions, and crisis management within a flexible drop-in model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one counseling and small group support to high school students
  • Manage a caseload of ~24 students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Respond promptly and effectively to crisis situations within the school environment
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to support student well-being
  • Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in compliance with school policies

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • Prior experience working as a school clinician or social worker in a high school setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with adolescents
  • Ability to manage sensitive situations with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are required
  • Successful completion of background fingerprinting and drug screening

  • Location: Springfield, MA (High School)
  • Position Type: Contract, School Year duration (ASAP through 6/25/2026)
  • Hours: Full Time, approximately 35 hours per week
  • Caseload: ~24 high school students

This role includes an initial Zoom interview and requires timely communication and adherence to school attendance policies. Candidates must be able to complete a Springfield CORI background check shortly after hire.
