Seeking a cashier for a family run Italian Restaurant. Knowledge of POS system is preferred.
We only have one shift available for now and can add shifts when they become available. Thursdays from 2:30 - 8:30.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Customer Service representative to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role involves handling transactions, assisting customers with their takeout or delivery orders ensuring a positive experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Toast Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions.
- Provide outstanding customer service by taking orders and bagging correctly.
- Restock all paper goods for the takeout area. Make sure shelves and displays are well-organized and appealing.
- Stock Soda machines, assist the waitstaff
- Utilize basic math skills for cash register operations and retail math calculations.
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
Skills
- Proficient in cashiering and cash handling procedures.
- Strong background in retail sales with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and retail calculations.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Knowledge of our Italian and American menu must be learned in detail.
