We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist to support our accounting team with day-to-day financial transactions. This position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process all incoming and outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with invoices and payments
- Prepare and submit customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables
- Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end closing activities
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing or payment issues
- Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree in accounting or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or receivable
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a plus
