We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an opportunity to lead financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support critical audit activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and experience working with various financial systems.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

• Manage the month-end close process, including reconciliations and journal entries.

• Supervise operational accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.

• Provide comprehensive support during internal and external audits to ensure smooth processes.

• Utilize ERP systems and other financial tools to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.

• Review and approve transactions in systems like BlackLine, Concur, and ADP.

• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial reporting needs and resolve discrepancies.

• Monitor cash flow and ensure proper financial planning and management.

• Train and mentor accounting staff to maintain high performance and compliance standards.

• Proven experience in accounting roles, including financial statement preparation and operational oversight.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems such as BlackLine, Concur, and ADP.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing processes.
• Expertise in using ERP systems to support financial management and reporting.
• Ability to manage audit processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a team and collaborate across departments.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
