We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) detail oriented individual to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. In this role, you will oversee various HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, recruitment, and benefits administration. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a non-profit organization by streamlining HR processes and fostering a positive workplace culture. This is an onsite, part time 20 hours per week position. Consideration for transition to a permanent part time role will be determined at the end of three months.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate staff meetings to ensure seamless communication across teams.
• Develop, update, and implement onboarding and offboarding procedures for employees.
• Manage recruitment activities, including sourcing and hiring, to meet organizational needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Organize and manage HR files to keep documentation structured and easily accessible.
• Assist employees with benefit enrollment and promote awareness of benefits offerings.
• Facilitate updates to employee master data and payroll information, ensuring accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with HR regulations, including OSHA standards and other legal requirements.
• Address employee relations matters, promoting a fair and inclusive workplace environment.
• Support marketing efforts related to benefit programs to optimize enrollment and minimize yearly increases.
• Proven experience in employee relations and handling workplace issues.
• Strong knowledge of HR administration processes and systems, including HRIS.
• Familiarity with benefits management and enrollment procedures.
• Expertise in onboarding and recruitment processes, including sourcing strategies.
• Understanding of HR compliance regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Ability to manage and organize HR files and maintain accurate recordkeeping.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive employee relationships.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
