Robert Half seeks an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Production Scheduler for a client in Hanover, NH. This is a newly created position designed to assist the current Production Scheduler with scheduling and planning print production jobs. The role requires strong office and computer skills, along with familiarity or experience with planning, scheduling, or job ticketing software. The candidate will work entirely in an office setting and will not need to work on the production floor.
Responsibilities:
- Provide scheduling and administrative support to the current Production Scheduler.
- Review and evaluate upcoming print production jobs, assessing deadlines and prioritizations.
- Confirm availability of necessary equipment, materials, and labor to ensure smooth production workflow.
- Use job ticketing and scheduling software to coordinate and optimize print production projects.
- Focus on inventory management and ensure all resources are in place for specific job needs (e.g., materials for magazines or specialized bindings like staples or blue bindings).
- Assist in planning job deliverables for tight deadlines and monitor the progress of production schedules.
- Maintain organizational processes to streamline production planning and scheduling activities.
- Experience with planning, scheduling, or job ticketing software is highly preferred.
- Strong aptitude for organization and ability to manage deadlines in a production-focused environment.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant scheduling tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an office setting.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
