A world leading supplier is currently seeking a Staff Accountant for a fulltime temporary to permanent or permanent position in Norwood, Ma.

Responsibilities of Staff Accountant:
-Reconcile general ledger accounts and statements for bank accounts
-Process journal entries for accrued expenses, fixed assets, and payroll
-Participate in month-end variance reviews
-Maintain all ledgers, journal entries, and documentation
-Participate in monthly/quarterly/yearly close processes
-Enter and verify various financial data points
-Provide new vendors with documents to establish accounts
-Identify and resolve any discrepancies with purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payments
-Submit weekly payments to suppliers and ensure credit is received for any returns and invoice discrepancies
-Compile and send customer invoices and follow up on past-due accounts
-Assist in general office tasks and assist customers with invoicing questions
-Prepare bank deposits
-Perform other related tasks as assigned
Requirements of Staff Accountant
-Minimum Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
-1-3 years accounting experience
-Must have previous experience with general ledgers
- inventory and transactional general ledger accounting experience required
-Previous experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable
-Strong computer skills with proficiency with Microsoft Office
-Experience with ERP software in manufacturing environment
-Great analytical and problem solving skills
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to work with minimum supervision
Hours: 7:30am-4:30 pm Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $60,000-$70,000/year
