You will be designing small, medium-sized, and large airports in the New England region as well as Florida. You will also be able to share your knowledge base and coach entry-level engineers. Situated in the heart of Burlington’s downtown district, our office sits high on the fourth floor of the Wells-Richardson historic building overlooking the beautiful Lake Champlain waterfront and Adirondack Mountains. Job responsibilities:

<li>Have a primary role in an integrated, multi-discipline team that solves technical challenges on projects of significant scope, size and difficulty</li>
<li>Complete assignments accurately and on time with limited direction from the Project Manager</li>
<li>Develop an understanding of project budget, scope of services, project development and project schedule</li>
<li>Provide updates and recommendations to the Project Manager in maintaining schedule and budget</li>
<li>Understand the client's organization, key people and expectations</li>
<li>Share best practices to improve performance and efficiency of self and team</li>
<li>Develop person-hour estimates and budgets with guidance from senior staff</li>
<li>Lead small team for moderately complex projects</li>
<li>Assist in proposal efforts and development</li>
<li>Provide coaching, mentoring and feedback to develop entry-level and Staff Engineers, peers and others as needed</li>
<li>Conduct site visits and participate in or lead meetings with clients/ contractors</li>
<li>Demonstrate strong technical writing and presentation skills for deliverables, proposals and presentations in a public setting (for clients and/or at seminars and conferences)</li>

Requirements:

<li>4-10 years of relevant experience</li>
<li>Current PE in NH, MA or VT</li>

We are currently looking for both experienced and entry level Telecommunications Cabling Technicians to add to our staff in the New Hampshire area. Telecommunications Cabling Technicians report to the Operations Manager and will work daily with a team led by the assigned Project Foreman. Willingness to learn, dependability and a strong work ethic are critical for success in this role.
 
Telecommunications Cabling Technicians are responsible for:
<ul>
<li>Installing category-rated copper cables and fiber optic structured cable distribution systems</li>
<li>Pulling cable, fire stopping, dressing cables and labeling to industry standards</li>
<li>Terminating, assembling and installing 8-pin modular connectors and coaxial connectors and optical fiber connectors</li>
<li>Accurately testing copper and fiber cables to required certification parameters utilizing appropriate test equipment</li>
<li>Diagnosing and correcting copper and optical fiber problems</li>
<li>Reading blueprints to determine closet and equipment layouts</li>
<li>Installing closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels and fiber enclosures</li>
<li>Attending training and safety meetings, and working safely at all times utilizing the necessary Personal Protection Equipment</li>
</ul>
