Responsibilities:
Scheduling
<ol>
<li>Work in collaboration with field leaders and Human Resources (HR) to implement and audit staffing and scheduling systems. </li>
<li>Run daily shift vacancy reports. Work with Directors of Operations and field supervisors to prioritize programs, and direct care and nursing shifts, which need staffing support. Weekly shift targets with be established with supervisor.</li>
<li>Provide on-call support to the field during evening and weekends to assist with shift coverage. On-call responsibilities will be rotated between the Director and two Staffing and Scheduling Managers.</li>
<li>Utilize an electronic scheduling program to track open and filled shifts in the schedules. </li>
<li>Contact staff to fill in vacant shifts via blast emails, phone, email and/or text. Delete accounts as needed.</li>
<li>Work with field supervisors to ensure schedules identify required licenses and certifications for shifts and locations.</li>
<li>Post announcements on Shiftboard News page.</li>
<li>Create custom reports to help with audits and planning. </li>
<li>Maintain an electronic list of relief staff to work in designated programs. Assure each program has an adequate number of relief/per diem staff.</li>
</ol>
Supervision
<ol>
<li>Conduct and document monthly check-ins with assigned relief. Discuss performance and job satisfaction; solicit feedback and suggestions for system/agency improvement; and promote engagement initiatives.</li>
</ol>
<ol>
<li>Identify training needs and requirements for relief. Coordinate and track training requirements. </li>
<li>Provide training for relief, per diem and management staff in various administrative systems as assigned.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with Relief Agreement, including training and hours worked.</li>
<li>Work with the Director of Staffing and Administrative Services to address employee relation issues.</li>
</ol>
Human Resources 
<ol>
<li>In collaboration with HR and field supervisors, assure relief and regular employees are placed on ALWOP in Shift board, if out of compliance. Notify programs of any scheduling disruptions.</li>
<li>Ensure all relief have valid/current driver’s license.</li>
<li>Assist Relief as needed to complete LOA paperwork. In conjunction, with HR assure relief are placed on LOA in shift board. Notify programs of any scheduling disruption</li>

Other

Qualifications:

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF LANDSCAPE FOREMAN - HARDSCAPE DIVISION
You, as a Landscape Construction - Hardscape Foreman, kick off your day by leading a team huddle to outline the day's plans and review blueprints. Your role involves guiding your team through various tasks, ensuring precision and adherence to design specifications. You also oversee tool operations and maintenance, maintain client communication, and transition to snow removal and salting operations as winter approaches.
Get ready to kickstart your day bright and early! Your standard work hours are from 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, and all our service areas are within 30 minutes of the office.
