Responsibilities: - Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures - Take patient medical history and record vital signs - Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies - Perform laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing - Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers - Schedule patient appointments and manage medical records - Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a medical assistant training program or relevant certification - Previous experience working as a medical assistant is preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures - Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
