Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team in North Reading, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting attorneys with trial preparation, legal research, and case management. This position is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in civil litigation and family law.
Responsibilities:
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including gathering and organizing relevant documentation.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
• Manage case files using specialized case management software to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• Prepare and file legal documents with courts in compliance with procedural requirements.
• Collaborate with attorneys to develop and implement litigation strategies.
• Monitor deadlines and schedules to ensure timely completion of case milestones.
• Handle discovery processes, including document review and evidence compilation.
• Provide administrative support during hearings and trials.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law and civil litigation procedures.
• Communicate effectively with clients and legal teams to facilitate case progress.• Proven experience as a Paralegal, ideally in civil litigation and family law.
• Proficiency in using case management software for organizing and tracking case files.
• Solid knowledge of trial preparation processes and legal documentation.
• Familiarity with court filing procedures and discovery processes.
• Strong legal research skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred; certification is a plus.
