Key Responsibilities
- Meet with system users to define project scope and testing requirements.
- Collaborate closely with software developers and project teams to align on testing objectives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and test plans for DERMS functionality and integrations.
- Execute manual and automated testing across multiple environments (web, mobile, and system integrations).
- Conduct functional, integration, and performance testing as required.
- Create, maintain, and execute test scripts and test cases to validate system behavior.
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or TestRail.
- Provide detailed bug reports and communicate testing progress, risks, and results to the project team.
- Serve as the main QA liaison between vendors, internal teams, and business stakeholders.
- Identify process gaps and propose continuous improvements in test and release management.
- Deliver status reports and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster collaboration motivate teams to meet deadlines and drive successful test execution.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on functional and integration testing within DERMS or similar energy management systems.
- Proven experience developing and executing test strategies and end-to-end test plans.
- Strong understanding of manual and automated testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with defect management and test reporting tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, TestRail).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build consensus among stakeholders.
- Self-starter with demonstrated success managing testing projects from planning through completion.
